It's March. Only two more months before the film is set to be screened. Don't let the untextured image fool you, however, we're doing relatively well. Josh and I have been continuing to animate the aliens with spectacular results. Can't wait to show off the shot of the alien patting the chair. It got some real laughs! So far, I have animated five different alien shots to the level we're comfortable with, and Josh is making some great animations too. It feels good to jump back into the saddle after all this time working on the characters.

Speaking of which, Anna and Logan are currently facing a hydra problem with the main character. When one issue gets fixed, another shows up to delay the main character's steps into animation. The sooner they can pull together the better - there's a lot of animation I'm eager to produce once that stage is reached. I'm hopeful that the rig will be finalized by next week at the latest, which would give us little time to work on the animations for the Production Pass that Monday or Wednesday, so it would be unreasonable to expect consistency with these shots by the time we present. I think it would be best to see these alien animations as practice. A taste of what the main course will bring. To that end, I will continue to work hard, likely even through Spring Break. We've been told to relax on the workload, but I personally feel I've been coasting through the semester so far and I want to get back into the habit of dedicating to the work. Hopefully next blog post, I'll have a lot more work to talk about excitedly until the heat-death of the universe!
