Our third Production Pass happened a couple weeks ago, followed immediately by Spring Break to the elation of everyone involved with these shorts. Now, with only a month and a half left in the semester, the team is attempting to get back on the ball. It feels like I've mentioned that we're "finally moving into modeling" for three posts in a row, but the biggest confirmation of that actually happening came in the form of assigning tasks today. We went down the spreadsheet and discussed who would model each asset, including the characters, props, and sets, so now we are equipped to take on the first phase of Production!

As for myself, it's mainly back to the storyboard dungeon. I spent a lot of time relaxing and working on a personal project of mine over Spring Break, but my goal for next class is to make some substantial alterations to the storyboard: namely, altering scenes as per suggestions from the Production Pass and adding full audio and music cues. Logan and I have also been discussing the use of Nuke in relation to the storyboard, which will make labeling and building upon shots more streamlined. However, I'm still greatly inexperienced with and intimidated by using Nuke, so we'll have to collaborate on it. Regardless, the team will be working hard with planned out goals, so our rate of production will hopefully skyrocket. And it's a good thing too considering the amount of time we should eventually put into the animation and effects side of the short. We'll aim to please!
