It's fascinating how the brain works. I work for all this time on the storyboard and the shot layouts, always saying that I'm looking forward to working on final animation, then when the rigs are ready to move, I get burnout. Unbelievable.

The rig for the alien is complete and ready to use in the short. Josh and I have already assigned different alien scenes for us to animate. Alongside that, some test renders have been made to show off how the scenes will look in the final product, minus textures on the environment and functioning see-through glass. The main character is still being worked on - the main thing keeping it back is the weight painting on the clothes and giving him a 5 o'clock shadow, but he should be done by the end of the week as well.

Overall though, It's been a pretty slow week for us. I'm finding it harder to focus on the work that I need to do during class and I always seem to have other priorities at home. As far as I can tell, we're all kind of in that state at the moment, especially Logan who is working on the short film for Brett this week alongside the BSG work. Our main priority next week should be to crack down on our tasks and keep our discussions to a minimum so that we can reach the deadline with a clean product. If we can do that at least, we'll have a successful semester.
