December is here! Our last production pass of the semester is over, and soon afterwards, fall break was too. To get ready for the preview screening in a couple weeks, the team has once again been solely focused on getting shots rendered out of Unreal. With finals coming up, it's becoming hard to manage this project alongside my other work studying for exams, but I've been able to get by pretty well so far. I can't speak for my team in this regard, but what I can say is that we're well underway to getting all our shots out.
One stickler in our shot production is the lack of a set for the Abduction Bay. That environment is still being modeled by Kayla and Logan. I still have faith that they'll be able to create it in time to render out shots for the final, but cutting it close would be an understatement. This problem is mainly due to our initial lack of solid concept art and over-focusing on the Gas Station set to lay a solid bedrock, so we'll just have to see how these problems end up.
