The layout phase is upon us. Our characters are almost finished and our sets are whiteboxed and ready for use. We've got a folder setup for Unreal Engine exports and a project file set up in Nuke. And it's high time the storyboard took on a third dimension!

Logan has been the MVP of the semester so far, providing resources and facilitating our pipeline like no tomorrow. He's been hard at work getting the team and the project ready. The work he's done has been invaluable, from setting up the project file, working his butt off in Terragen, and even paying over a hundred dollars on an Unreal Engine course for the team. This past week has been a bit directionless for me after completing the storyboard, but now I'm motivated to start reciprocating.

This week, I'll be prepping for layout work, as well as brushing up on my knowledge of Unreal Engine. I'll also be researching cloth simulations for our characters for when their rigs are complete - an element that will help our work stand out from the crowd in more ways than one. Cloth sim has been something I've been meaning to learn regardless, so I'll be working for my own benefit as well as the project's. Besides that, I'm gonna do some research myself, starting with watching a certain film that a certain professor has been adamant the team check out. A bit less to report than last week, but do not mistake that for the project slowing down. We're just warming up!
